Our soy wax is a 100% natural and renewable material that’s grown and produced by American farmers. Soy wax burns slowly and cleanly making it an environmentally friendly and sustainable option.

Eco-Friendly Wicks
We use a flat cotton wick braided with thin paper threads that gives the wick a rigid structure without the need for a core. Our wicks are lead & zinc free.
Sun Theory was founded in February 2018 by Megan Althoff in a tiny apartment kitchen in the Muesem District of Richmond, Virginia. As a lifelong thrifter and crafter, Megan decided to combine those interests by upcycling thrifted vessels and repurposing them into soy candles. Sun Theory wouldn't be where they are now with out the infinite support of their friends, family, & community.
